WHY FRANK EXISTS
When did a taxi get this complicated?
Surge multipliers. Ride tiers. Boost zones. Somewhere along the way, booking a taxi turned into a strategy game — and both seats are losing.
Most riders just want to get from A to B and know they’re not being ripped off. Most drivers just want a fair week behind the wheel. The taxi solved all of this decades ago — a licensed driver, a regulated meter, no games. It didn’t need new pricing maths. It needed better software.
That’s the mission, in full: make the honest option the easy one.

What exactly is Frank?
Frank is a commission-free taxi platform for Ireland. Riders book licensed SPSV taxis at honest, regulated fares with no surge; drivers pay one flat monthly fee and keep 100% of every fare.
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one hidden in a tier. Drivers pay €89 a month, riders pay the meter, and that’s the whole business model. The honest caveats: we’re not live yet, we open city by city rather than everywhere at once, and at launch you pay your driver by cash or card in the car — in-app payment comes after.
When does Frank launch?
Autumn 2026 — a small founding-driver beta, then public launch, city by city across Ireland. Join the list just below and we’ll email you once.

Is it ride-sharing?
No — and that’s deliberate. Frank only works with fully licensed SPSV taxi drivers, so you get a professional, insured driver every time.
How do I pay?
Cash or card, paid to the driver in the car. Frank takes nothing from the fare; in-app payment comes after launch.
Who’s behind Frank?
